This design is a devotional work, symbolising the attribute of water.
"Nymphaea" is a female water spirit and represents an elemental energy which is beauty and the magic of life.
The Lotus is an ancient symbol which represents rebirth and the soul. It is interesting that many artists, such as Monet and Rouseau, have depicted this beautiful flower in their work.
