Hot Glass has consumed my life since the very first gathers from the furnace
in the art department at Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga.
I found a form of artistic expression that has become the ultimate challenge, creatively and physically. Glass is extremely durable yet fragile and precious. Knowing that a glass artwork may be around for hundreds and even thousands of years, carries a great responsibility and demands integrity in concept and construction.
20 years ago Marguerite and I moved to the Sunshine Coast in Queensland following my hot glass career. In 2004 I began construction of a glass studio in Yandina. With the participation of the local glass community the studio developed into a centre for artistic expression. In 2010 I decided to setup my studio at home, a lifelong dream. This has enabled me to focus on my latest body of work. “The Tree Studies”
